Rome II: Divide et Impera Guide
When it comes to playing Rome II with the Divide et Impera (DeI) mod, there are a few settings and mods that can enhance your gameplay experience. While I personally prefer to keep the pike units as they are in Vanilla DeI, some players may find it beneficial to balance their unit packs using Alternative Economy. However, it's worth noting that this mod also works without Alternative Economy.
To add more variety to your gameplay, you might consider using All Factions 24 Turns Per Year, which allows seasons to have a greater impact on the game. Alternatively, you could opt for All Factions 12 Turn Per Years if you prefer a different pace. Additionally, I recommend trying out DeI - Alternative Phalanx/Shield Wall, as it can make it easier for AI-controlled phalanxes to push forward without constant micro-managing.
When selecting mods, keep in mind that they are ultimately up to your personal preference. Take some time to explore the various options and see which ones work best for you. It's also worth noting that the default load order may not include all of these mods, so be sure to check the collection's current setup.
This collection includes a range of compatible mods and submods that are designed to work with both the current version of Rome II and the Divide et Impera overhaul mod (as of April 2020). With these settings and mods in place, you're ready to dive into your Rome II gameplay experience.
